Ain't Leaving Jack Myers is a middle-aged, middle-class Jewish husband and father of four who has never really forgiven his free-spirited mother for remarrying “outside the faith” after his dad died.  Except for an occasional postcard from her latest far-flung adventure, Jack has lost virtually all contact with his mother – as well as his new “dad,” a globe-traveling missionary named Cyrus.  In fact, Jack’s never met Cyrus; never even seen a picture of him.  But now Jack’s in for a surprise… When Jack’s mom passes away while mountain climbing in Peru, the Myers family suddenly finds their predictable suburban lives turned upside-down when they get their first visit from “Grandpa Cyrus.”  The worldly, outspoken, fun-loving Cyrus couldn’t be more different from Jack’s late father.  He’s not strict.  He’s not boring.  He’s not cold and unaffectionate.  He’s also not Jewish.  He’s not white.  And most definitely…he ain’t leaving.
